about the captain

Captain Jason Hallmark grew up in Alabama but decided to move to Destin at age 17. He started fishing in the Gulf of Mexico in 1993 and joined the Mother Lode in 1995 as a deckhand.

After working as a deckhand for two years, Jason became the captain of the Mother Lode in 1997. In April 2007, he was offered part ownership of the boat.

With over 15 years in charter boat experience, Jason is sure to show you a great time aboard the charter boat, Mother Lode.
